Costume Contest Judges
Cindy Okumoto
I started doing “costuming” (before it was called “cosplay”) in the early 80’s (you pick which century). Somehow I always chose characters whose outfits were … challenging. How do you make thigh-high spike heeled boots from scratch and make sure they stay up without spirit gum? What’s the best way to make a feather collar/capelet that lays flat? Hint - don’t use glue. How many pearls can I add to this gown before I go blind? In recent years, my focus has shifted from comics/sci-fi characters to historical and alternate history personas. You can now find me at local renaissance faires, terrorizing my fellow actors.
